Zompire: The Undead Film Festival
May 15-17, 2009

This festival is dedicated to all things undead. We want to highlight various filmmakers creative attempts to show the undead in new and unexpected ways. Festival founder and director Andrew Migliore has been running the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland Oregon for over 13 years and always wanted to branch out and show some other films and themes that interested him, namely the undead e.g. Zombies and Vampires. Thus Zompire was born.

NYC Zombie Crawl
Sunday, May 31st

Since 2007, the NYC Zombie Crawl team has organized zombie walks in Brooklyn every Spring and Manhattan every Fall. In addition, throughout the years the team has worked on many zombie themed events and provides zombie SFX makeup for nationally touring acts.

Founder Doug Sakmann and his team has personally created & coordinated zombie makeup and events including the Tribeca Film Festival, the Today Show on NBC, the cast of Bravo Network's 'Step It Up and Dance' (To promote Sony Records' 25th Anniversary Re-Release of Michael Jackson's Thriller) the band New Found Glory and much more.

With the NYC Zombie Crawl crew, Sakmann has zombified massive crowds of zombie lovers in NYC, at one point totaling over 350 zombies in one day!
